March Madness. No, I’m not talking about basketball. NaBloPoMo.

It’s that time again!

It’s National Blog Posting Month. Actually it’s a monthly thing but after doing it for 30 days in November, I suffered some blog burnout but I am back again for March. The theme is giving (up) but its optional.

I considered giving up cupcakes (I am too weak) and/or cupcake blog (that might cause a riot) for 30 days to focus on my food blog but I am afraid I might lose my sanity if I don’t bake cupcakes. Knowing me I’d find some loophole anyways so there’s really no point. Heck yeah… I’ve got this rationalizing thing down!

Hmmm… what else can I give up?

Carbs? Oh hell nah.
Etsy? but but… I am doing my duty to stimulate the economy
Amazon? (see above)
iPhone? That’s cruel and unusual punishment
twitter? You’d have to take away my iPhone (see above)
google reader? I’d be afraid it would implode if I don’t read for 30 days
chinese takeout? I guessss I could stand to do Subway instead. It did wonders for Jared.

Thanks Holly for being my NaBloPoMo blogging buddy this month. Thank goodness I read her blog this morning when she mentioned NaBloPoMo b/c I totally forgot that today was March 1st! Where did February go? I can’t believe I almost failed before I started. Eek!

Anyone else doing NaBloPoMo? I can never have too many blogging buddies send me twitter reminders. My memory aint so great. LOL. Of course I’d be happy to return the favor too!

Check out the NaBloPoMo blogroll to see blogs participating this month. Scroll down to “i” to see my blog. I guess I can’t wuss out now… *deep breath*

Let the games blogging begin!

I survived Turkey Day, Black Friday and NaBloPoMo!

December 1st. First day of December. Can you believe it?

Since NaBloPoMo is officially over, I feel like I should write some inspirational words from my experience of 30 posts in 30 days. But to be honest I am still suffering from post Turkey Day coma and my blog writing mojo needs a vacation so let’s just skip the “sense of accomplishment” speech and do a little recap instead.

Don’t get me wrong. I am proud of myself and don’t regret participating for one minute but dang my brain hurts! Its alot of work! HAHA

I started off the month with some cheesecake b/c sometimes a girl just needs cheesecake. Am I right? You know I am.

The rest of the month was filled with how-to DIY projects, Tuesdays with Dorie desserts, Ellie Krieger food cravings, UCLA-inspired foods , Bunday Mondays are fundays, foodie questions of the day and random foods that I just felt like baking or cooking.

Hope you enjoyed reading my 30 posts in 30 days! Special thanks to Rebecca and Rachel for keeping me motivated throughout the month! xoxo

Our regularly scheduled Bunday Monday to be posted later today.

Curious? As a reader, what did you think? Reading my blog everyday was overkill or something you found yourself looking forward to?

It’s kinda like saying froyo (translation: frozen yogurt). Is that a California thing?

NaBloPoMo is short for National Blog Posting Month. You may have seen it on a few blogs here and there. Basically the rules are simple. 30 posts in 30 days. Let’s do the math. 1 post per day during the month of November. No theme. Write about anything. Sounds easy right? Don’t be so sure.

I realize its November 9th already but I wasn’t ready to advertise my NaBloPoMo commitment just yet. I told myself I’d give it a week on the down low to see if I could keep it up. Like I said. Not as easy as you think but I am 9 for 9 right now so whats another 21 days right? I can do iiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

Readers, I’ll need your help. Don’t let me slack. It’s a bad habit I have. I am prone to slacking and procrastination. Hmmm… I should probably think about what I wanna write for Monday huh? Meh, I’ll do it tomorrow. HAHA
