Forgive me. I am feeling kinda Scrooge-y today.
Feel free to add to my list if you need to get some of your Scrooge out too.
- Christmas is over.
- I don’t wanna put my fake dining table Charlie Brown tree away yet.
- I haven’t seen my brother in 2 years. I wish he didn’t live so far.
- I have to work tomorrow but hubs has 7 more days off.
- Tastespotting rejected my picture (again!). I understand they have standards and they don’t want ugly dog food puke pictures on their site but I wouldn’t say my pictures are dog food right? I just don’t handle rejection well. I think I am gonna start tagging my posts with “rejected by TS”. Maybe it will help motivate me if I see a trend in what they like and don’t like. Or? Maybe I’ll just stop submitting.
- I wish I didn’t live in a cave. Show me the natural light!!
- I am sad that I can’t keep up with my blogging events b/c I want to do them all.
- I have a back log of posts to finish but I just don’t feel like finishing them.
- I haven’t cooked dinner for my hubs in 10 days. Call me weird but I love to cook for my hubs esp since we have an understanding. I cook; He does the dishes.
- My diet has been bad-for-you greasy fast food for the last 10 days.
- I am eating a salad for lunch but I really want a PHAT slice of pizza instead.
- I don’t wanna think about my New Years resolution b/c its too stressful.
- Wii Fit displays your BMI and weight?? and it bloats your Mii up to reflect the numbers. Ok fine. My Mii is 13 feet tall.
- Does anyone know what happened on the last Top Chef? Hopefully it was a rerun b/c I missed it. I guess I got distracted by a little thing called Xmas eve and my TC chat buddy didn’t remind me.
- My friend lost her job. I am sad for her.
Entry filed under: confession, random.

You’re not alone feeling scrooge-y. I feel you on most points but hopefully with the new year, you’ll have lots of great things to look forward to! :) Hope your Sunday gets better!

I hear you sister. I always get the after Xmas blues and New Years is so freaking depressing- all this pressure to lose weight and get your head screwed on straight after weeks of holiday binging. Bah Humbug!

JOELEN, Thanks fellow Scrooge. I am sure the next year will bring alot of amazing things but sometimes I just get Scrooge-y. You know?
NIKKI, I *was* online! We just kept missing each other. Do you know who got aufed?
BERYL, Omg. so true. I think this year my NY resolution will be something fun like… take a cruise to Mexico. HAHA

CB,
Thanks for the info. I’m so not buying Wii Fit now! :)
Re: Top Chef on Xmas eve was a repeat of the holiday special from last year (where past season’s contestants come back and compete). You didn’t miss anything. The previous Wednesday (don’t know if you missed that one) they didn’t eliminate anyone in the stupid “spirit of Christmas”, but man, they should have. This was the 12 days of Xmas themed one. According to Bravo, this Wed will have a double elimination to keep them on track. New judge too.
Next year will be good! take care and we all love ya, mary the food librarian who now knows 4 people out of work.

FOODLIBRARIAN, LOL @ Wii fit comment. I know right? That is WAY unmotivating for me. I do not need to see a FAT Mii. TYVM. Thanks for TC recap. No elimination? That is major lame. Ooohh new judge? Who who?? I am sorry you know ppl out of work too. Times are tough. It sucks.

When I did jury duty a few weeks ago, I felt like the only one who was stressed trying to get to work. Everyone else had been laid off!! Tough times!!

I’ve heard that the next new Top Chef will be Jan 7; Bravo lists a repeat for Dec. 31. We went to Fabio’s restaurant for Christmas Eve dinner. I need to post about it soon before I forget!

Oh man, I love my Wii fit, but I almost cried when my little mii bloated. I try to ignore it and tell myself it didn’t take into consideration the fact that my boobs weigh at least 20 lbs. I really think it should ask for measurements to be more accurate!

Dude, no wonder you’re a little glum. I just am avoiding the grocery store because after half a month of eating crap, I seriously want to just chow down on things like greens and turnips and rutabagas. But I’m going BACK up to Michigan (for the third time since Christmas) on Tuesday because my brother is flying in from Portland. Yay! :)

Feel better Clara! Every year I suffer from Christmas withdrawl.. haha. I feel kinda bad too and it’s not because Christmas is over or I’ve eaten more butter these past 2 weeks than I have in a few months, but school starts again and I still don’t know what I’m doing!

Don’t worry, hopefully it will get better. But for know i know how you feel. Relatives are in town and I have been doing the WORST splurging on gunk food.

I always get the post Christmas blues. It hasn’t hit as bad this year though. I don’t know if that’s due to the new food maintainence stuff, or the fact that I didn’t feel very Christmassy in the first place (less let down when you don’t build up first). It’s sort of nice not to feel like crap for a change. But I remember your curren spot from many prior years.
Oh and me=cook & DH=dishes is the way to go!

NATALIE, Yeah. I guess I am pretty lucky in these tough times to find a new job. I know more than 1 person that has lost their job. :(
JUDY, Whew! Glad I didn’t miss anything. Fabio’s restaurant? How fun! Definitely post about it!
KRISTINA, True! Boobs do weigh alot. Boob “fat” weights more than muscle right? RIGHT!?! Just let me live in my dream world ok? haha
MARY, I know right!? I am not a big veggie person but even I just want something green and leafy right now. haha
STEPH, Ditto all that *AND* I really don’t now what I want to be when I grow up either. I’ve been out of school for a while too ;)
ALYSSA, I’ve gorged myself so much this holiday esp since money is tight and everyone is giving baked good gifts. I am not complaining though. I love desserts but I just wish the desserts didn’t love me so much!
DAWN, I definitely think I got the better end of that cook/dish bargain too. LOL

CB, I feel you: so far I haven’t been able to get any of my pictures accepted by tastespotting or foodgawker for that matter…. :(

OMG I’m not the only one with a 13 foot tall Mii!
Actually my Mii has been neglected on the wii fit for awhile. Maybe I will go try it out now before I move back to my baking. But then, I am munching the last carrot that I had with my sandwich for lunch, so maybe I will wait until I don’t have a belly full of food first. That machine can be unforgiving!
Big hugs to help with the humbugs.

MARTHE, I gave up on FG. I was trying to concentrate on just TS but now I am just kinda blah on both. Nothing against them. I get that they have standards but rejection after rejection demotivates me from submitting you know?
