Non-Foodie Question of the Day

How much is gas where you live?

California. Land of Sprinkles cupcakes, Disneyland, warm weather, beaches and HIGH gas prices! Just the thought of gas prices makes my blood boil. I use to think Costco had comparatively cheap gas prices but I know its high when I think Costco is too expensive now. The local Chevron near my house is at $4.39 per gal while Costco is about $4.27. Its freaking ridonk. When are we gonna start thinking of government funded alternatives so we can ditch the gas dependency?? Guess I can’t afford the new iphone 3G now. Gotta save for gas.

Sincerely,
Fed up gas pumper

SLUSH, is it sad to say that I’d give anything for gas to be under $4 for me again?? Now *that* is bad.

Up here in Northern California it was 4.69 today. Good thing I don’t have a car. I’m a bicycler. I thank my lucky stars that I live in a small town every time I ride by the gas station.

RAINBOW, GOOD LORD! You’re closer to $5 than me. Its too bad that my city isn’t conducive to bike riding. Times like these I wish I lived in a small town.

RACHEL, holy gas prices batman! Guess you won’t be visiting me anytime soon huh? poo.

I’m in Los Angeles too and I just saw $4.54. I thought of trying Costco but the last time I was there, the line was practically all the way to the food court (not a bad idea though…pizza and fro yo while waiting for gas…)

FOODLIBRARIAN, thats the same as my hubs. He knows Costco is cheaper but he refuses b/c he’d rather pay the extra cents/gal than spend time waiting in line. Mmmm… costco pizza. YUM. haha.

I can no longer complain about high gas prices… even though around here it’s still hurting everyone… it’s about $3.85 on average at the moment.

It was up past $4 here as well but now it’s back down to around $3.96. I think it’s bad when you say, “Wow, gas is down to $3.96!” DOWN to. I mean really.

We’re right around $4. Cali gas prices are totally postponing our trip to visit. We wanted to drive all over Cali, but prices like that are just too damn much

I think it’s about $3.70 here. I live in a smaller town so all the stations have the same price, so I don’t even look at the price when I pump. I know I have to have it, so I just pump and go. :) When I first got my car I could fill it all the way up for $12. Now, It takes me close to $40. :(

My gas is about 4.50 I think. Lucky for me I carpool with three other people so I only drive to work 1 week a month otherwise I’m not sure that I could afford to work. If that makes any sense. I figured out it costs me about $20 everyday I drive myself to work!

CT: $4.49. You know 5 bucks is right around the corner. Probably July 4th weekend would be about the time to hit that landmark record.
