NFR: Fashionista? Come in!

I have practically no fashion sense. I am a jeans and hoodie kind of girl. Trust me. When it comes to fashion… I need help!
I am a bridesmaid in my FSIL’s wedding this July so yesterday I decided to take advantage of the Nordies 1/2 yearly sale and try to find some black heels to wear for her wedding. Its kind of hit or miss with sales for me. Most of the time I can’t find the size I need b/c I have small feet (5-1/2 or 6) much less the color or style I like so imagine my surprise when I found 2 pairs! But… mo shoes mo problems.
Here’s the dilemma. My bridesmaid dress is at my seamstress’ house so all I have to go on is the picture from David’s Bridal’s website to figure out which heel I should wear and which heel I should return. Its not an option to keep both b/c T will kill me! I know which one I am leaning towards for various reasons but the only thing I’ll tell so your opinion isn’t biased upon mine is that the price difference is a couple bucks so money isn’t an issue.
Help? Which one would you choose and why?

Shoe 1,
I like the higher heel, always makes legs look hotter, and shoe number 2 is more of an everyday style.

I love the second pair! I think they complement the dress, are totally wearable again and I just like them. The first ones look wintery to me. Are they velvet?
Besides, if you have to stand for a while (and you don’t normally wear heels), a lower heels is best.

RACHEL, the 2nd pair isn’t velvet but you are right about standing/walking part. Weddings are standing, walking, dancing all night long… Definitely something I need to consider. YRMSRP!

I’d go with shoe #2. It’s really cute with that twist and it’ll be easier to wear again for another less formal occasion.

LYB,See…? thats what made me buy #2 – the twist – b/c it kinda resembles the dress material at the waistline. Definitely good to take acct the re-wearable factor. Thanks babe!

#2. I am no fashionista. I am a teeshirt and jeans kinda gal. But, I think you will be able to wear shoe #2 with a lot more in the long run.
Cant wait to see the pics of you in the dress and heels!

I like the first one, but I couldn’t actually wear either with my ankle issues. I’m a firm believer in getting whatever will break in the fastest and be the most comfortable!! You will probably be on your feet a lot that day.

ZEBE, LMAO @ “fun size”. Yup I am definitely fun… size. As for shoes… yeah I have a feeling that #2 would be easier to break in. Hmmm… decisions decisions…

I love shoe number two. Also LOVE the dress. my FSIL has ugly dresses picked out, and I am not looking forward to being covered in cheap fuschia satin.

ASHLEY, yeah I am pretty lucky that all 3 BMs (different body types) looked good in this dress *and* we ALL love it! You poor thing and your fuschia. It aint right.

The first ones. The bow is so cute and you would rock a pai of jeans and a tank top with those shoes. The seconds one are all “I’m a practical shoe and you can tell because I’m boring and kinda ugly. Nobody will object to me, I am the bologna sandwhich of shoes.”

LT, bologna sandwich? BAHAHA! So glad I can count on you to just tell it like it is… I am totally a “bow girl” so thats what made me buy those first shoes. I know its ironic b/c I love jeans and flip flops 23/6 but… I have to admit that my feet never looked sexier! egotistic much? ;)

Please the ego sugah, go with the sex pot bows. The twist decoration can be found in your G-ma’s closet (and not the uber stylish 40’s startlet G-ma either)

Alright, first a suggestion:
Can you spend an hour or two in each pair of shoes on a carpeted floor? If they do not get scuffed or worn, you can return them guilt free. The lesson is to try out which pair of shoes would be more comfortable.
While I love the first pair of shoes. But because you are in a wedding party, the lower heel might make it easier for you to run around in.

BOMBSHELL, hmmm… well I can tell you that I probably would be more likely to spend an hour more comfortably in #2 than #1. Thats definitely a good point.

I am going with #2 because it’s more practical and you can wear it again more. I LOVE #1, but I know you – you will not wear those out with jeans and you will not wear them a ton more so cuteness factor isn’t exactly what I think you should go for here. They are both adorable. But I think you will get more use and be more comfy in #2.

Uh oh… I’m completely torn too! Hmmm… they are both seriously hot, so not problem there. Here is my way of thinking though – the top ones seem more “girly” and fun to me, while the bottom ones seem more practical. I would end up wanting the top ones and keeping the bottom ones because my mommy practicallity always wins out -sooo, there ya go.
The only other thing I can say is that the second pair kind of reminds me of the midriff of the dress so it depends on if you want flair and contrast (first pair) or a bit more “matchy” with the second pair.
I don’t think I’m helping here… GOOD LUCK!
