Yes, I’m still on my lamp kick.
And I made the BIG mistake of clicking the “crystal” link on the Lamps Plus ceiling lamp section and found this >>

I don’t know about you but it looks like a sparkly dandelion to me. And it’s got a price tag that will make my husband go blind compared to the other dandelion one. Eep! Me and my champagne tastes. I can’t even say I have a beer budget. It’s more like kool-aid. Le sigh…

I wish money were no object. I’d go for the one that sparkles. I am easily amused by shiny objects. Don’t judge me.

I’m sure the Ikea looks like a bargain to your hubby now! Maybe if you keep looking, you’ll find one that will make the Lamps Plus look like a steal, if that’s the one you really want…
I’ve found that after a year or two, we forget the price we paid, but if I have to keep using something I don’t like that I bought simply because it was cheaper, it grates on me every time I see/use it. And that’s no bargain. Happy hunting :)

ooooh, I saw that crystal one in a tour of “condos” last time I was in Atlanta. I put condos in quotations because I would definitely classify these more as pent houses than condos. The one I saw that crystal light fixture in was around 2.5 million. Having said that, I think the Ikea one is just as lovely, though not as sparkly :)
