TWD #44: [Reserved for butterscotch]

December 23, 2008

What do you all think of pumpkin butterscotch pie?

I have a can of pumpkin pie filling and Dorie pie crust that needs using up and I bet some butterscotch mixed in would pretty darn tasty, right?

If all goes according to plan (although my best laid plans have a tendency to go astray despite my best attempts) I am hoping to whip this up after work so…

Stay tuned.

I think the flavors will work great. I am interested to hear how the texture and consistency is. You will probably need to pump up the flavorings and salt because pumpkin, though delicious, can make dishes a bit bland. Nutmeg might be a good addition. I topped my pudding with nutmeg and it worked well with the butterscotch and of course it would be great with pumpkin. I look forward to seeing the results.
